The #travelbookclub discusses Red Tape and White Knuckles by Lois Pryce

This month the #travelbookclub read Red Tape and White Knuckles which Lois Pryce wrote after travelling solo on a motorcycle all the way from England to South Africa. Views on the book were quite split this month, while some readers enjoyed the fast-paced adventure, others really didn’t like Pryce’s writing style. So it led to some good debates!

You can read the full discussion on Storify:

Next month we’ll be reading The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga which was chosen by@xMrsAylax. We’ll be discussing it on August 7 at 9pm. Join us!

  1. Sorry to have missed it – I read the book too this time but then got totally caught up and didn’t remember til too late! I really enjoyed the book, some amazing stories. She’s a lot braver than me though, it was one of those stories that are interesting to read but I don’t fancy doing myself. Will get a copy of White Tiger and set my alarm for next time…

    • Oh no, sorry you missed it! I’ll have to start trying to send out reminders:) Yes, I think we all agreed that although we liked the sound of the adventure we weren’t sure we fancied doing it ourselves! Would be great if you could join in with White Tiger. I’ve read another of Adiga’s books and really enjoyed it so am hoping for good things.
